Courtesy Visit: Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah Bayelsa Residence
On June 23rd, I, Queen Tamunosoye Karibi-George, Miss World Nigeria 2026, and my entourage paid a courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah at his Bayelsa residence, as part of my appreciation tour celebrating the incredible people who stood by me throughout my Miss World Nigeria journey.
We were warmly received by Rt. Hon. Isenah and his aides. In a gracious show of hospitality, his spokesperson offered drinks to my entourage a gesture that was warmly accepted and reciprocated by our entourage lead, Prince Iwefa Aganaba.
Following formal introductions, I addressed the gathering, expressing my heartfelt gratitude to Rt. Hon. Isenah for championing my project and requesting his continued support as I carry Nigeria’s flag to the global stage and advance my Beauty With a Purpose initiative. I presented him with a special award of appreciation in recognition of his role in my journey.
His spokesperson responded warmly, noting that this visit marked only the first phase of the celebration, and extended an invitation for me to endorse the Odi Festival.
Rt. Hon. Isenah then addressed the room with pride, acknowledging my father, my entourage, and the Aganaba family. He recalled sensing from the very beginning that I would bring the crown home likening me to the legendary Agbani Darego and said my performance at the grand finale was a true display of beauty with brains. He spoke of how proud I had made him and the entire Ijaw nation, saying I had flown Nigeria’s flag high.
He blessed my journey ahead with powerful words, declaring that just as I triumphed at the national level, I would triumph on the global stage. He pledged his full support including a commitment to attend my Miss World finale in Vietnam and extended his gratitude to all present.
The visit closed beautifully with a group photo session.
