My visit to the office of the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, at the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs on the 16th of June.

From the moment we arrived, the warmth was palpable. The entourage opened with a heartfelt introduction, setting the tone for what would become an extraordinary exchange. When the floor came to me, I spoke from the heart about a project that has become deeply personal to me — the Beyond Labels Initiative — a movement rooted in purpose, dignity, and the dismantling of the stereotypes that hold so many women back.

A Minister Moved to Action

What happened next was nothing short of remarkable. The Minister was visibly moved by the vision behind Beyond Labels. She didn’t just offer polite encouragement — she declared the initiative worthy of a platform beyond the national stage and pledged her full, 100% support.

She didn’t stop there. The Minister:

  • Challenged young women across the country to step into national affairs and claim their seats at the table
  • Reminded widows everywhere to break free from the self-imposed stereotypes society often places on them
  • Suggested powerful brand collaborations to help scale the initiative’s reach and impact

More Than a Meeting

This was not a routine courtesy visit. It was, in every sense, divine alignment — two visions, one purpose, converging at exactly the right time.

I remain deeply grateful to the Honourable Minister and the entire Federal Ministry of Women Affairs for the warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support extended to us. Support like this doesn’t just validate the work — it multiplies it.

The Beyond Labels Initiative just got bigger. And this is only the beginning.
