Where My Journey Began
A dream I whispered to the stars, held quietly in my heart, and prayed for even when I couldn’t see how it would ever become real.
The journey wasn’t always beautiful.
There were moments of waiting, moments of disappointment, doors that closed, and days when I questioned whether the dream was still worth holding onto. There were times when I had to keep believing without knowing when my “yes” would come.
But somehow, I kept going.
I kept praying.
I kept believing.
I kept becoming.
And today, I look at the woman I have become and realise that every setback was shaping me, every delay was preparing me, and every closed door was leading me somewhere I couldn’t yet see.
From that little girl with a million dreams to Miss World Nigeria… 🇳🇬
I wish I could go back and tell her, “Keep dreaming. One day, you’ll understand why you had to wait.”
Today, as I prepare to step onto the world stage, I carry that little girl with me. I carry her hopes, her courage, her prayers, and every person who believed in me along the way.
If you’re reading this with a dream in your heart, please don’t give up on it.
Even when it takes longer than you imagined.
Even when the road feels uncertain.
Even when you have to start over.
Keep going. Keep believing. Keep becoming.
Sometimes, the dream is taking longer because the person who is meant to live it is still being prepared for it.
And I am living proof that the dreams we whisper in the dark can one day become the life we prayed for.
